My Fall Poll

So, I want to take a poll. (Thanks Grace and Josh) Anyway, the following questions are about Fall and if you are reading this your required to answer at least one.

1. Among the four seasons, where does fall rate?
2. What is your favorite apple?
3. What is a tradition that you do during the fall?
4. Have you ever been in a Corn Maze?
5. Can turkeys drown by looking up into the rain?

These are my answers. I put them down here to let you contemplate your own first - I don't want to sway you to try and be as awesome as I am.

1. I like summer the best because of the sun and the stuff you can do outside. Spring next because it is beautiful to see the world come to life and I get to anticipate summer. Fall after that because it is so pretty with the leaves changing and there is nothing quite like putting on a sweater. Winter just sucks. Without Christmas it would be a waste.
2. I will only eat Granny Smiths. They are firm, not mealy, and tart. All other are gross. All warm apple desserts are "grosser than gross".
3. In the fall I go applepicking with my mom's side of the family. I will have to blog about that soon. And I make sure to always drive down Grandma's Lane or Route 31 when I have to go somewhere because the leaves are so beautiful.
4. Ever since BBC, I have tried to go every year and it is awesome! We went to the Jonamac Orchard this year and got freaked out because it was haunted. So much fun!
5. I know the answer, but I want to see what you guys think. (Why do I know this you ask? I had to put together a Thanksgiving Trivia Puzzle for the youth next week.) The answer will come "soon".

Here are my answers, before reading yours:

1. Summer first, then spring, fall, and winter.
2. Gala
3. Freeze. Get out massive amounts of sweaters, cords, and fuzzy socks and contemplate wearing them all at the same time.
4. No
5. I don't think so. You are odd.

Now I am going to read your answers.
1. I agree with you.
2. I used to agree about only eating Granny Smiths for the same reasons, but I have found that PA Gala apples are quite nice. Still don't care for warm apple desserts but will make them as others like them. (I like warm pumpkin desserts:)
3. I like apple-picking because there is often other yummy things at the apple-picking place. Like cheese!
4. I thought about going, but then everything was muddy.
5. "Soon." Yeah. Right.

Love you!

Also, poll.

Ok! My turn!!!
1. Summer first due to warmth, sun, tanlines, and no school! Fall and Spring are tied, I think! I love the change over into Fall and all the colors! It is gorgeous! But Spring has a quality that is like "FINALLY! Winter is over! Here comes warmth!!!" And I agree... Winter is the loser season. Though I do require it to be Winterish around Christmas. Christmas seems fake without snow.
2. Red Delicious. They tell you how they are going to taste right in the name... DELICIOUS!!
3. Also being a member of the Ferrell clan, I too go apple picking! It is a wonderful time that is so much fun! But alas... this year it was very depressing... I couldn't go! The stinkin' family chose the weekend right after I was home so I couldn't drive another 800 miles! :( I hope they got me some cheese like I asked for!!!
4. Yes. Again, like Moriah, Jonamac Corn Maze this year! I tried not to be freaked out in the scary part but I didn't like scary people walking 6 inches behind me breathing on me!! Luckily... they mostly just went for Moriah!
5. Because it is such a random question I will go with yes, but only if they have their beaks open so the water can go inside of them. Am I right??

Love you! I get to see you in 17 days!

1. Possibly second. Summer is definitely the best. I'm liking it more this time around than I have in the past. Maybe that's because I have someone special to do fall things with!
2. A red apple.
3. Hmmm. None really. But I wouldn't mind starting some new ones, such as apple picking, going to a corn maze, carving jack-o-lanterns...
4. I think, maybe. I really wanted to go to one this year. Maybe we still can?
5. Yes?

1. Fall powns all other seasons. Its brisk but in the good way that makes you appreciate the lingering warm mid day sun. You dont really get sweaty unless you bundle up too much. Its football season and there isnt much better than the crisp cold ground to tackle someone on. Spring next, then summer than winter. When you are working a regular 7-5 job, "summer break" doesnt really happen and therefore is of no real benefit.
2. Fuji. Those Japanese may put extra iron in their toys but their apples a D-E-Licious.
3. Apple picking with the fam, "turkey bowl"ing, having babies with a wifey. (ok, maybe not the last one)
4. Yeah.....The first portion last year was more mazey and yet still corny. The second portion was just more spooky and not so much mazey. The chicago bears one was just an excuse to run off with the wife and get some smooches.
5. The real question is if the turkey's meat and power of causing someone to fall asleep will be..."watered down"???

1. Fall is first, definitely! I love the brisk air, the moderate temps, the fall leaves, "jeans and a sweater" weather...love it. I will admit it's hard to rank this above spring b/c spring is so beautiful too for many of the same reasons, like seeing the world come to life again. So Spring is 2, then summer, then winter. But here in California, we really only have two distinct seasons: Summer and Fall. There isn't a normal "shedding of leaves"...I'm still trying to figure this out but it seems trees lose their leaves here in the winter, if they do at all Anyway...

2. Macintosh: Crisp and refreshing; sweet and tart all at once. Love them!

3. Fall traditions? Hmmm...I do a lot more baking. I buy "fall scented" candles like pumpkin spice and apple cinnamon. I like to go to a pumpkin patch and if they have it, buy apple cider and a cinnamon donut.

4. No I havent but would like to.

5. Hmm I have no idea but it seems like one of those weird things that would be true for some reason. Like if it weren't true, who would think of something that random? LOL

AND THE ANSWER IS....

TRUE!

Yeah, randomly weird trivia that we can all boast about now around the dinner table on Thanksgiving.

(Jordan, you are already doing bad dad jokes and Noah's hasn't even popped out!)
